St. Joseph Catholic Church is a parish of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Joliet. It is located at 416 N. Chicago St. Joliet, IL. The church has Mass on Saturdays at 4:00 p.m. and at 8:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Sundays.

St. Joseph parish has a lot of way to get involved in serving others. They just participated in a campaign for Waterleaf's Baby Bottles for Life Campaign the beginning of October. This campaign raises money for local families. The organization helps give men and women physical, emotional and spiritual support as they face pregnancy-related circumstances.

In the second half of October, the parish participated in "Undy Sunday" a collection of basic needs items for the clients of the Catholic Charities. This year they focused on collecting items such as: diapers, Pull Ups, baby wipes, and new boy's and girl's socks and underwear. This collection ended Oct. 26 and supported the people within the Diocese of Joliet who are in need.

As far as upcoming events go, the parish is going to host a Holiday Craft Show & Market. According to the parish website, stjosephjoliet.org, the event is a great way to celebrate the Holidays. The preview of featured items includes homemade crafts, poticas (Slovenian rolled pastry), gifts, bakery items and refreshments. This is on Nov. 15 from 10:00 a.m. until 3 p.m. and it will take place at St. Joseph Park. The park's address is 700 Theodore St. Joliet.

St. Joseph parish is a great place to serve your community. There are many opportunities to give and help others. The parish also has opportunities, other than mass, to grow spiritually. A Bible Study focusing on "Daring to Walk the Walk" takes place on Wednesday's from Sept. 24 through Oct. 29 at 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Through this study, members will learn about 7 key virtues and how to live out those virtues in daily life. This study is the first in series of a larger study. The next portion of the study will focus on how to address emotions such as anger, fear, envy and shame. This small group is held at St. Joseph Park at the same address mentioned above.
