A Chicago convicted murderer will remain in jail for good after he was found lurking on the property of unsuspecting Joliet residents.

Fentric Miller, 59, is facing several charges after a Forest Park couple found Miller trespassing on their property. Joliet Police responded to a call on the 1200 Block of Ada Street, after the resident of the Forest Park home notified police that Miller was on their property.

The woman reported to Joliet Police that Miller was seen inside of her shed, attempting to steal a bicycle among other things. The suspect was questioned by the woman to which Miller replied “he was going to take a shower in her pool” according to the Joliet Patch. The woman went on to call her husband over and proceeded to chase after Miller, eventually restraining him.

After Joliet Police responded to the report on August 23, they claimed Miller was "out of touch with reality."

Joliet Patch found that Fentric Miller is not the offender's real name, in fact, it is Demetrius Cogwell. He went under 8 different aliases including X Mick, James Call, X Lil Mick, and many more. The Illinois State Police Violent Offender registry revealed that Cogwell was a non-compliant 10-year registrant.

The 59-year-old has officially been charged with burglary, criminal trespass, and failing to register as a violent offender to youth.

This is not Cogwell’s first time being charged. In 1995, he was convicted of first degree murder and concealment of homicidal death for the 1992 murder of 18-year-old Marlon Genus.

Cogwell will remain in Will County Jail under the SAFE-T Act.
