The University of St. Francis, USF, has many things planned for their 2025 homecoming week. Whether you are a current student, staff, or alumni of the campus, there are plenty of things that people can attend.
The main event of the week is the final event of the week, the homecoming football game. The fighting saints, coming hot off a victory against Lawerence Tech last week, will be taking on Madonna University at Joliet Memorial Stadium, with kickoff at 1pm. Before the game, there will be a tailgate hosted by the Criminal Social Justice Charter Club and Radio Club beginning at 11:30am in the parking lot of the stadium. Some clubs and departments will also be having reunions before the game, including the College of Nursing and the College of Education.
There are also numerous other sporting events going on throughout the week. Last Friday, homecoming week was kicked off by the alumni soccer game. This Friday, the softball team will be hosting their reunion game at Inwood at 5pm, followed by the baseball game Saturday morning at 9:30am at Slammers Stadium. Both of these reunion games will be open to the public to watch.
For students on campus, the Student Activities Board, SAB, has an event planned for every day of the week leading up to the activities on Saturday. Monday they brought in local coffee and donuts. On Tuesday, there will be shirt tye-dying followed by a student appreciation luncheon on Wednesday. The last two events will both take place on the pavilion, with a movie and bonfire on Thursday night and a homecoming party on Friday night.
Students are encouraged to attend these events that the University is putting on, in what is sure to be another fun homecoming week.
