Peacemaker: Season 2 Episodes 1 through 2 spoiler free review

On August 21st the second season of the DC Comics series Peacemaker released on HBO max with the first episode of the season. The episode starts with a retconned recap of what happened in season one as some moments from the previous season are not cannon to the new DC Universe. The episode also showcases the struggles that the characters Christopher Smith/Peacemaker, Emilia Harcourt, and Leota Adebayo are going through after the events of the season one finale. This episode also takes a deeper dive into the Quantum Unfolding Chamber, a multiverse gateway located in home of Christopher Smith.
The second episode centers around a reunion between Christopher Smith, Emilia Harcourt, Leota Adebayo, Johnathan Economos, and Adrian Chase otherwise known as the Vigilante. Episode two also revolves around the Advanced Research Group Uniting Superhumans "A.R.G.U.S." breaking in to Chris's house as they grow suspicious of the energy readings given off from the Quantum Unfolding Chamber. The first two episodes also start off a plot centered around a parallel universe which some fans believe to be Earth X, a universe where the Nazis won World War 2. Fans have even speculated that this season is a part of a build up for a huge multiverse storyline as the project that came before this new season "Superman" included a pocket universe created by Lex Luthor.
Another important aspect of season two is the new intro which is filled with new dance choreography and another wacky song, specifically Oh Lord by Foxy Shazam. Much like the intro for season one which featured the song Do You Wanna Taste it by Wigwam, this intro does a perfect job of showing all the characters that have importance to the plot while also capturing the tone for the overall season. So overall, I would give these two episodes a 10 out of 10.
