The Table, a church that is in the church of the Nazarene denomination, is local to the University of St. Francis campus at 1451 Black Rd, Joliet IL. They have a Sunday Service at 10:00a.m. weekly both in-person and online. This is when people gather to pray, worship, and to hear a message from the pastor.
Along with Sunday Service, the church hosts a variety of other events that are open to the public. A young adults ministry meets at The Table weekly on Thursday nights at 7:00p.m. This program is focused on giving students 6-12 grade a place to get together for fellowship. Also hosted by The Table is GriefShare, a structured support group to help those who are grieving. This meeting is every Tuesday evening for 13 weeks.
The church was founded in 2019 and was built on a foundation of compassion and evangelism. The website has a public and private space for people to share prayers and praises with the community or pastoral team. This platform is a simple way that compassion can be fostered. Also, there is the opportunity to interact with others posts online which is a great way to build a stronger sense of community in the church family.
For those who are planning to go to this church there is a way for you to prepare for your visit. Beyond the information that can be found on their website at thetablejoliet.org, there is also a form to fill out so that they can be better prepared to greet you Sunday morning. If you head to the Plan a Visit tab you can access this form and fill out a bit about yourself including contact information. Some information they will request is if you are bringing any children with you, how you heard about the church, and when you plan on visiting. There is a seat for you at The Table.
