Joe's Hot Dogs

After 72 years of business, Joe's Hot Dogs is set to be sold to a new owner. According to the Joliet Patch Matt Rittof the listing agent for Joe's Hot Dogs, stated that the owner is asking for a price of $1.2 million for when he sell out his business to its next owner. Rittof had stated that this business is one that could easily make the money immediately as one of their strongest financial years was 2020 (the Covid pandemic) despite being shut down for a couple of months. According to the Joliet Patch Joe's Hot Dogs has sold 100,000 hotdogs each year.

Joe's Hot Dogs is also said to have a basement which could be beneficial for potential storage space for if renovations needed to happen for this Joliet establishment. Matt Rittof is optimistic that Joe's Hot Dogs will find the right buyer as he believes this is a business that will thrive straight into the future. For the past 25 years, Joe's Hot Dogs has been under the management of Jill Huffer, the granddaughter of Joe's Hot Dogs founder Joseph LaRose. The current menu for Joe's Hot Dogs is still the same as it still features the same variety of hotdogs, tamale's, Polish sausages, Italian beefs, onion rings, and French fries.

This new management could potentially lead to a major success for the future of Joe's Hot Dogs as this is a place with a legacy that is very hard to take over (as with any small business that has been open for almost a century). Is it really certain if new management could keep this business alive, no it's not as there has not been anyone outside of Joseph LaRose's family to accomplish running this iconic Joliet location. But I know it's wise to stay optimistic as that is a crucial factor for any success story.
