Faith United is hosting a live nativity story, titled "Journey to Bethlehem", on December 5 and 6. Faith United is a Presbyterian Church located in Tinley Park at 6200 167th St. The live nativity will run from 5:00 p.m. until 7:30. This is a good way to learn about Jesus' birth.

Faith United Presbyterian Church is a church that provides a very inclusive ministry. They practice empathy as a crucial part of focusing on Jesus as the common ground. This helps to fulfill their mission "Know God, Grow in Faith, Serve Others." Despite some differences among members they remain "Faith United" through the love of Jesus.

The walkthrough live nativity will take about 15 to 20 minutes to get through. There are seven vignettes that depict Jesus' birth story. Vignettes are short, descriptive, evocative stories. This form of storytelling is used to highlight specific moments of a story and to help develop characters.

Following the walkthrough the event will also offer light refreshments, children's crafts and a petting zoo. It is a great opportunity for children to meet new friends and bond over the important story.

Reservations for the live nativity are not required and there is no attached fee to participate. Collected donations will be passed along to the South Suburban Crisis Center. The Crisis Center supports essential services and shelter for those who are affected by domestic violence.

The church Facebook will serve you in bringing daily reminders about the "Journey to Bethlehem" through their animated posts that began November 4. Their Facebook page is titled Faith United Presbyterian Church of Tinley Park. There you can find more information and multiple ways to get into contact with them regarding any further questions. Ways of communication include their website, faithunitedpres.org, phone and email.
